England pacer Stuart Broad, on Tuesday, became the seventh bowler in the history of Test cricket to reach the 500 wickets mark.

Broad, who had picked 6/31 in the first innings of the ongoing third Test against England match, trapped Kraigg Brathwaite infront of the wicket to reach the landmark.

The moment for which Broad had been waiting for since the start of the series, finally arrived on the third ball of the 14th over. He has now joined an elite list of bowlers with 500 or more wickets to their names.

The Nottingham born seamer is now second only to James Anderson, who has 589 wickets to his name in Tests, as far as England cricket is concerned.

Broad made his Test debut in 2007 at the age of 21, and before this match, he had 491 wickets to his name in 139 Tests.

Meanwhile, soon after the 34-year-old reached the milestone, cricketers across the world took to Twitter to congratulate him on the special milestone.
