England captain Joe Root just couldn’t stop giggling after he noticed the brown stain on his teammates Ben Stokes’ pristine pants on Day 2 of the ongoing Test match at Old Trafford.
Stokes was standing with his skipper Root in the slip cordon when the latter saw a brown spot on the all-rounder’s trouser. Stokes tried to hide it with his jumpers but later smirked as teammates laughed hysterically.
The whole incident soon started trending on Twitter as a comparison was drawn to English footballer Gary Linekar, who endured a pretty similar event in the 1990 FIFA World Cup.

Linekar himself jumped in the conversation and wrote,” **** happens.”
But, Stokes was quick to reveal that he accidentally sat on a spilt coffee.

Meanwhile, England is on the front foot after putting up a stellar show with both bat and ball in the series-decider third Test in Manchester. Once again, the old-guards of English bowling line-up, Stuart Broad and James Anderson, caused a lot of troubles to Windies batsmen as both of them picked two wickets each.
Shane Dowrich and Jason Holder somehow survived the flair and hostility of English bowlers in the last session as Windies will resume their innings on Day 3 from 137/6.
Earlier in the day, England lost a flurry of wickets in quick succession before Broad came to rescue, slamming 65 off just 45 balls to take England to 369 in the first innings.
