Following the footsteps of mother Sakshi, Ziva wished her father, MS Dhoni, on his 39th birthday, with an even sweeter message saying, “Happy Bday Papa! This is for my Papa! @mahi7781 I love you.”
The post contained a heart-melting, eye-watering picture compilation of the father-daughter duo, in their last five-year journey together.
Mahi and wife Sakshi were blessed with daughter Ziva on February 6, 2015. Interestingly, Mahi wasn’t present for her baby’s birth, as the Indian team were gearing up to face off against West Indies in the 2015 ODI World Cup.
Such was the magnitude of sacrifice surrounding MSD’s career who would often preach about national duties coming ahead of everything in life.

It was only a couple of days back on July 4, when both Sakshi and Mahi celebrated their 10th marriage anniversary. Sakshi put in words beautifully to symbolize their matrimony and alliance using a heartfelt caption for the post.
“Walking together for 10 years has been a team work. Building space for each others growth has helped us mature. Being mad at each other, at times, made us come closer. Prioritising the matters in life, made us realise the importance of those!” wrote Sakshi.
Both Sakshi and Mahi’s love-story is well documented in his biopic ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, played by late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Sakshi and Dhoni were married in 2010 in a hush-hush event in the outskirts of Dehradun.
