In the absence of cricketing action, Indian cricketers are not left with much to do, amidst COVID-19 crisis.
Therefore, the action has shifted to social media where cricketers have resorted to online interactions with each other as well as their ardent supporters.
Moreover, the camaraderie between the Pandya brothers – Hardik and Krunal is known to many. Last month, the two got involved in a hilarious interaction with Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) skipper Dinesh Karthik.
Now, elder brother Krunal has uploaded a short clip of his younger brother struggling with the acting skills while doing a commercial shoot.
“@hardikpandya93 always making me do more takes #PandyaBrothers #BTS #feelitreelit,” captioned Krunal’s recent Instagram post.
Both Krunal and Hardik were scheduled to take part in Mumbai Indians‘ (MI) defence of their IPL title. The tournament was scheduled to take place by the end of March before COVID-19 pandemic set foot worldwide.
Therefore, the cash-rich league was postponed indefinitely. However, the apex cricketing board in India, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has affirmed its stance on hosting the tournament in the September-November window.
The Pandya brothers have played the entirety of their IPL career, donning the MI jersey. It was during the 2015 IPL season when Hardik made his debut in the high-octane league.
After impressing the national selectors, Hardik made his way into the Indian team during the 2015-16 Australia tour.
Krunal, on the other hand, made his debut in the 2016 season of the IPL and was later drafted into India’s T20I squad.
Both Hardik and Krunal were part of MI’s successful campaigns in the 2017 and 2019 edition, where they emerged victorious. The two brothers from Baroda have represented MI in 121 games in tandem.
