With cricket in the country at a standstill due to coronavirus outbreaks, cricketers are utilising the forced-break by spending quality time with their loved ones.
On Saturday (July 18), Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma shared a delightful picture with his daughter Samaira on Instagram. The stylish opening batsman was teaching Samaira the importance of saying ‘no to plastic’ as it harms the environment and aquatic lives under oceans.
Rohit wrote, “Mornings with my munchkin. Discussing our love for the ocean and why it’s important to say no to plastic straws. Teach them young.”
Soon, the barrage of adorable messages from his fans flooded the post. One of the comments came from Rohit’s colleague and his best friend, Yuzvendra Chahal, who reacted with a heart emoji.
Rohit, who is also the brand ambassador for La Liga in India, has congratulated the Spanish club Real Madrid after they secured their 34th domestic title this season.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai-born was all set to lead Mumbai Indians in the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL). But, the tournament has been postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19 pandemic.
However, BCCI hasn’t ruled out the future of this T20 extravaganza, and they are planning to shift the tournament to UAE in the September-November window.
