MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Singh Rawat continues to share glimpses of her husband’s life away from cricket via her social media posts. Sakshi is making sure the two-times World Cup-winning captain’s fans are being updated about their favourite cricketer.
On Tuesday, Sakshi took to Instagram to share a throwback photo of Mahi along with Pandya brothers – Hardik and Krunal – and Dhoni’s childhood friends.
“Missing the happy squad,” Sakshi captioned the photo.
The photo is apparently from Dhoni’s 39th birthday celebration at his farmhouse in Ranchi. Hardik and Krunal flew to Ranchi to wish Dhoni on a special day after the lockdown restrictions in the wake of the novel coronavirus eased up earlier this month.
Krunal’s wife Pankhuri, who can also be seen in the picture, replied to Sakshi’s post, using a red heart and face of tears of joy emojis.
Hardik also shared the same picture on his Instagram story and wrote: “Miss you guys my gems”.
Apart from the Pandya brothers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami and Virat Kohli have often admitted that they miss Dhoni’s presence and share throwback pictures with the veteran on different social media platforms at regular intervals.
Playing for more than a decade, the 39-year-old Dhoni still holds value for his impeccable game-reading skills, lightning-quick stumpings as well as the ability to keep the team calm and composed under pressure.
Under Dhoni’s guidance, current India skipper Kohli has also benefitted with field placements, better use of bowlers as per situations and his overall street smartness. Thus, Dhoni’s decision on his international future is keenly awaited not only by ardent cricket lovers but also by his current teammates.
