The name of Rahul Dravid is synonymous with spending long hours at the crease, fighting out tough spells with his resolute defences. Thus, known as the ‘Wall of Indian Cricket’.

However, his masterclass in the art of catching goes unnoticed, somewhat eclipsed, due to the monumental achievements in different facets of the game.

Dravid with 210 dismissals to his name, holds the record for the most number of catches in Test career.

Also, Dravid is known to be the ultimate ‘Yes Man’ of Indian cricket, and still serving as the Head of NCA, after a successful stint in coaching the U19 and India ‘A’ teams.

During the initial half of his career, Dravid proved his utilities as a close-in fielder, grabbing a few blinders at silly point and short leg.

Then, the Karnataka stalwart turned out to be one of the safest pair of hands in world-cricket, placed at slips. Later, when the Indian team was in need of an extra batter, Dravid took up wicket-keeping and humbled even the best stumpers in the world.

Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh shared a video of the compilation of some of the greatest catches grabbed by Dravid.

“With or without his bat, he is, & will always be, THE WALL on the field! It has been a blessing to have been a part of his cricket journey, enjoying & celebrating every moment on the field!,” captioned Raina’s retweet post.

Apart from Raina, the likes of Ravichandran Ashwin, VVS Laxman, Anil Kumble and many others were left awestruck, looking at some of the best Dravid catches from the vault.
