Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former Indian captain, turned 39 on Tuesday (July 7).

Dhoni, who is widely famous for playing the ‘helicopter shot’ and his extremely calm approach to the game, has played 538 international matches. Also, the Ranchi-born Dhoni is the only captain to win all the ICC trophies – T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup and the Champions Trophy.

His calmness and the way he approaches the game is famous among the fans and ‘Captain Cool’ enjoys considerable popularity. While fans will have to wait for more time before Dhoni can be seen on the cricket field, West Indies star all-rounder Dwayne Bravo paid his tribute to his ‘brother from another mother’ Dhoni on his 39th birthday.

IPL franchise, the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), even shared the video of ‘MS Dhoni: Number 7’ song on their Twitter handle and captioned it as: “The Helicopter 7 has taken off! @DJBravo47’s tribute to #Thala @msdhoni, his brother from another mother! #HappyBirthdayDhoni #WhistlePodu”.

While Dhoni’s reaction to the song will be keenly awaited, he is hardly active on social media platforms. Nonetheless, Twitter is already flooded with several positive responses to Bravo’s latest song for his CSK skipper.

Talking about Dhoni’s return to competitive cricket, it has been delayed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country, which is the main reason for the postponement of the IPL 2020 indefinitely. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is yet to take a final call regarding the fate of this year’s IPL edition. Other countries such as Sri Lanka, UAE and New Zealand have already thrown their hat in the race to host the IPL since the COVID-19 pandemic continues to rule the roost in India.
