The 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 is set to begin from September 19 in the UAE, and players of all the teams are gearing up for the cash-rich tournament. Delhi Capitals (DC) star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant is no exception.

On Friday, Pant went down memory lane and reminisced his school days when he got an autograph from former Indian pacer Ashish Nehra. The southpaw took to Twitter to share a throwback picture from his childhood days where Nehra can be seen signing his bat.

The picture is from a local cricket competition in Delhi where the 2011 World Cup winner was called as a chief guest.

“Memories remind us. Dreams take us forward Innity #throwback,” Pant captioned the photograph.

The comment section of the post soon got filled in a jiffy as fans praised Pant for rising through the ranks.

Earlier, a similar picture of young Virat Kohli with Nehra also went viral on social media, grabbing a lot of
attention from the cricketing experts and fans.

Well, it will be interesting to see if Pant reaches the level of the Indian captain or not.

Currently, Pant has been seen practising with Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) vice-captain Suresh Raina and looked in great touch ahead of the marque tournament.

With 1736 runs in 54 matches and a strike rate of over 160, Pant’s record in the IPL is sensational. However, it will be a different challenge for him this time around as the tournament moves to the UAE.
