As India’s World Cup-winning captain, MS Dhoni announced his retirement from the international cricket, several film stars thanked the wicket-keeper batsman for treating them with his 16-year-long innings.

Celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Bipasha Basu and others took to social media to react to the retirement of the ‘Captain Cool’.

Team India captain Virat Kohli’s wife Anushka posted a picture of Dhoni on her Instagram stories and thanked him for the memories that he has given to every cricket fan. “Thank You MSD for the memories that we will never forget,” she wrote along with the picture.

“Captain forever,” wrote Bipasha Basu on Insta while adding a heart emoji.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh in his Twitter post, wrote, “No retirement from our hearts Heart suit #MSDhoni.”

‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ fame Kartik Aaryan posted a picture of one of the iconic moves of Dhoni and asked if there is anything that can change his mind of retiring from international cricket. “Greatest Ever !! @msdhoni,” he captioned his post.

Since India’s semi-final exit from the 2019 World Cup against New Zealand in August last year, Dhoni did not feature for the Men In Blue.

During his break from cricket, the 39-year-old served for the Indian Army too.

However, the Ranchi-born cricketer will be in action with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the upcoming 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in UAE.
