Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni reunited with his colleagues from Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as they flew together for their home city to participate in a mandatory six-days training camp ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
Suresh Raina took to Instagram to share a picture with his teammates in which the southpaw was sitting beside Dhoni and posing for the camera along with the likes of Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar, Karn Sharma and Monu Kumar.
The post has been trending on social media as fans poured in greetings and well wishes for the upcoming edition of the IPL. Even MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi couldn’t control her emotions and left an adorable comment on the picture.
CSK too shared a picture of Dhoni on August 14 in which the former skipper can be seen wearing a simple yellow tee and a mask to cover his face.
“Thala Dharisanam Reloaded! #WhistlePodu #StartTheWhistles,” captioned the Chennai-based franchise.

CSK team members are required to participate in the camp that will run till August 21. However, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will not be taking part in the preparatory camp, owing to some personal reasons.
“Thirteen or 14 of the 16 Indian players will be part of the camp, including MS. Since they came after undergoing COVID-19 tests, their next test will be 72 hours before leaving for the UAE on August 21. They will start training from tomorrow,” a CSK official told PTI.
The 13th season of the cash-rich league will take place from September 19 to November 10 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). All matches will be played across Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
CSK skipper hasn’t featured in professional cricket since India’s semi-final defeat against New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup. The fans will be more than eager to watch the swashbuckling batsman leading his favourite franchise after a long hiatus.
