Veteran Bangladesh cricketer Shakib al Hasan is currently serving his suspension, imposed on him by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in October 2019. As per reports, Bookies approached Shakib but he failed to report these to the concerned authorities.
Since the suspension, Shakib has missed out on the tour of India and Pakistan followed by the 2019-20 edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Meanwhile, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-al-Adha, Shakib has gifted his wife, Umme Ahmed Shishir, a brand-new Mercedes-Benz. The adorable couple is currently staying in the United States of America (USA).
Shishir and Shakib have been married since December 12, 2012.
On Saturday, Shishir posted two delightful pictures of the car on her Instagram handle. She captioned it and wrote, “My eidi from the husband.”
Recently, in April, the couple became parents of a second daughter and named her Errum Hasan. Shakib and his spouse took to their social media handles to reveal the name of their daughter. In 2015, their first daughter Alaina Hasan was born.
Shakib and Shishir first met in 2010 when the star Bangladeshi all-rounder was in England for his county stint with Worcestershire. At that moment, Shishir was pursuing her higher studies. From there on, they started dating each other and a couple of years later decided to tie the knot.
Shakib has so far played 56 Tests, 206 ODIs and 76 T20Is for Bangladesh, in which the Magura-born has amassed 3862, 6323, and 1567 runs. When it comes to performing with the ball, Shakib has taken 210 wickets in the longest format of the game, and 260 in ODIs. Whereas, in the shortest format, Shakib has 92 scalps to his name.
