Team India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star bowler Yuzvendra Chahal announced his engagement to choreographer Dhanashree Verma on Saturday (August 8).

The leg-spinner took to Twitter to share the news with his fans.

“We said ‘Yes’ along with our families #rokaceremony,” Chahal wrote on Twitter.

Ever since Yuzi and Dhanashree broke out the news, they have been receiving warm wishes from friends and family members.

Bigg Boss 13 contestant Himanshi Khurana congratulated the couple. Model-turned actor Priyank Sharmaa wrote, “Are are are are are are are are are what a surprise. Chhupe rustom.”

TV actor Abhishek Kapur posted, “Mubarakkkkkkkkkk bhai to both of you and the families”.

Actress Kishwer Merchant wrote, “Omg.. congratulations.” Team India and Kings XI Punjab opener KL Rahul also congratulated Yuzi.

Sports presenter Gaurav Kapur posted: “Arre waaah Chottey, lockdown may lockdown.”

Chahal has so far played 52 ODIs and 42 T20 Internationals for India.

The wily spinner has taken 91 wickets in ODIs, while he has claimed 55 scalps in the shortest format of the game. He is set to return to action with the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 19 to November 10.
