Kohli shared an Instagram story of his new RCB kit.
The RCB captain is yet to clinch an IPL title with his beloved franchise.
India and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli recently shared a sneak peek of his new kit for the thirteenth edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Kohli is scheduled to resume his stint with RCB in the 2020 season of IPL, slated to be hosted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), starting September 19.
The kit contained the apparel as well as various equipment used in his trade. Also, Kohli was provided with the traditional red-pads he has donned several times in the twelve seasons thus far.
The Bengaluru-based franchise is yet to clinch their first IPL title even after taking part in all seasons of the IPL. After giving the captaincy to Kohli, RCB has not been able to change their fortunes.
With the announcement made by IPL Chairman Brajesh Patel regarding the conduct of the tournament, the Indian internationals have begun to gear up for the event.
In the cash-rich league, for the first time, Indian cricket enthusiasts will be able to witness their stars in action since the COVID-19 hiatus.
Earlier, the likes of Suresh Raina, Rishabh Pant, Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma were seen doing the hard yards in the nets, to shrug off the rust accumulated due to the prolonged break.
Coming back to RCB, Kohli has his task cut out this season with another limited bowling attack. Even, popular analyst and commentator, Aakash Chopra has also pointed out the weakness in RCB attack this year.
“Batting conditions would not have much of an impact. In fact, certain teams may start feeling better. RCB for example, because when the grounds are big your bowling is not exposed that much even if it is weak. RCB I think might actually do well,” Chopra said on his Youtube channel.
