The bleak prospects and uncertainty that loomed over the future of Indian Premier League (IPL) for a quite long time have vanished as soon as the official confirmation from BCCI reached the public consciousness. The much-awaited T20 extravaganza gets underway from September 19 to November 10 in UAE.

In the build-up for the tournament, social media handles of IPL franchises have already started hyping their team and players. In one such instance, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) came up with a witty post comparing their skipper Virat Kohli to a lion on the occasion of World Lion Day.

The franchise asked the netizens to spot differences between two images.

While users came up with a hilarious response, it was Yuzvendra Chahal’s reply which stole the limelight. The leggie was at his usual best when it comes to taking a sly dig or trolling his colleague.

“Difference hmmm in the first pic wearing clothes and in 2nd pic without clothes,” Chahal said.

Chahal will be joining Captain Kohli in the RCB camp as their preparation for the upcoming IPL 2020. They, along with other members of the franchise, will be tested for COVID-19 before departing to UAE.

Kohli is the leading run-scorer of the tournament. Along with AB de Villiers, he forms the backbone of one of the most destructive batting line-up in the cash-rich league. However, as a captain, he leaves a lot to be desired as RCB is yet to win the championship.

Kohli has earlier remarked that he can’t even think of leaving this team.

“It has been such an amazing journey. It is always going to be our dream, winning the IPL together. There is no scenario where I could think of leaving the team ever. You can feel emotional about the season not going well, but till the time I am playing IPL, I am never leaving this team. The fans, their loyalty has been amazing,” Kohli had said earlier.
