The iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata is ready to host India and New Zealand for the third and final T20I of the ongoing three-match series on Sunday.

Team India have already clinched the series with victories in both the first two matches. The Rohit Sharma-led side will be looking to register another win in order to clean sweep the Black Caps.

Similarly, New Zealand would be focusing on coming back in the dead rubber to disallow the hosts from whitewashing them in the shortest format.

The series win is India’s third against New Zealand in T20Is and the first for Rohit after becoming India’s permanent T20I skipper.

Fans might see India testing their inexperienced bench by giving chances to some players like Ruturaj Gaikwad and the uncapped Avesh Khan.

Head-to-Head record:

Played: 19 | IND won: 10 | NZ won: 09 | No result: 0

Pitch report:

Eden Gardens is considered a batting-friendly ground, therefore, fans can expect a high scoring contest. Dew played a role in the first two games in Jaipur and Ranchi, and it might also impact tonight’s fixture.

New Zealand: Tim Southee (c), Martin Guptill, Daryl Mitchell, Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, Jimmy Neesham, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Lockie Ferguson/Adam Milne, Trent Boult

  • New Zealand total: 150-160

Case 2:
