On Thursday, the Indian Test team left for South Africa for the upcoming three-match series, starting December 26. Two big stars missing in the red-ball squad are newly-appointed Test vice-captain Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja.

Both the cricketers were earlier ruled out of the Test leg with respective injuries. While Rohit had suffered a hamstring injury during a net session prior to the South Africa tour, Jadeja was diagnosed with a right forearm injury during the recently concluded first Test match against New Zealand.

Ahead of the Test series, a few media reports claimed that Jadeja’s injury is extremely serious as it would require surgery that could make him stay out for four to six months, due to which Jaddu might quit Test cricket.

After the much hype about Jadeja’s Test retirement, the Saurashtra cricketer took to his official Twitter, brushing aside the rumours concerning his departure from the longest format. Jadeja shared a picture featuring the quote

“Fake friends believe in rumours. Real friends believe in you”, shortly before posting a picture of himself in the Test jersey with the caption “Long way to go”.
