The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday announced the complete schedule for the 2022 edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup, all set to be played in Australia.
The multi-team tournament will run from October 16 to November 13, with seven cities to host matches across the Kangaroo land. Twelve out of 16 teams are already confirmed, with the final four to be determined through the qualifying matches.
Australia, England, New Zealand and Afghanistan have been placed together in Group 1, with India, Pakistan, South Africa and Bangladesh heading into Group 2.
The last year’s runner-up, New Zealand, will kick off the Super 12s with a clash against the defending champions Australia on October 22, while India and their arch-rivals Pakistan will meet on October 23 – the second day of the Super 12 stage.
