Australian batting sensation Marnus Labuschagne is having a good time with the bat in the ongoing Ashes 2021-22 against England. The right-handed batter is currently the top-scorer with 286 runs to his name in four matches at an average of 47.66. Labuschagne has smashed one hundred and two half-centuries so far in the five-match leg with one game to go in Hobart.
Just a day after England managed to earn a thrilling draw in the Sydney Test, Labuschagne took to Twitter and conducted a Question and Answer session with his fans. During the symposium with his followers, the South Africa-born Australian cricketer faced quite a few queries and came up with interesting responses.
One of the fans asked Labuschagne to name the best Indian batter and bowler he has played against. Replying to the query, the Queensland cricketer picked Test skipper Virat Kohli and veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin as his answer.

Notably, both Kohli and Ashwin have reached phenomenal achievements in their respective Test careers. Kohli, being the modern-day great, has extraordinary numbers to his name. In the past decade (2010-2019), the Indian superstar accumulated 20,960 international runs – the most by any player in the history of the game. Similarly, Ashwin, India’s stalwart spinner, was the leading wicket-taker in the last decade, with 564 wickets in 227 international matches.
When it comes to playing against Australia, both Kohli and Ashwin have accomplished several milestones. The Delhi-lad has played 82 international fixtures against the Aussies, scoring 4483 runs at an outstanding average of 52.74 with 15 hundreds and 22 half-centuries. Likewise, Ashwin has appeared in 42 games against Australia, in which the Tamil Nadu spinner has taken 115 wickets at an average of 33.47 with one 10-fer, and five 5-wicket hauls.
