The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auctions witnessed the end of an era as many legendary cricketers went unsold. From Suresh Raina to Amit Mishra, the Indian cricket phenoms couldn’t find any buyer during the 2-day bidding event held in Bengaluru.

After the completion of IPL 2022 auction, Parth Jindal, the Delhi Capitals (DC) chairman, gave his tribute to the veteran spinner Mishra. Parth took to Twitter and mentioned that the DC franchise would like to salute the leggie for everything he has done.

Jindal stated the Capitals would love to have Mishra’s services in the future before adding that DC is Mishra’s team forever.

“To one of the IPL greats, Amit, we at Delhi Capitals would like to salute everything you have done for us over all these years and would love to have you back at DC in whatever capacity you see fit as your insights would be most valuable. Mishy bhai DC is yours for life,” Jindal wrote on the micro-blogging platform.

Notably, Mishra is one of the giants in the cash-rich league and owns some breathtaking figures. In 154 matches, the leg-spinner has taken 166 wickets, which is the highest among Indian bowlers and third overall.

Mishra has also bagged three hat-tricks in the lucrative tournament, which is the highest in the history of IPL. No other bowler has taken more than double hat-tricks in the world’s toughest T20 league.

When it comes to the bidding event, the Capitals put up an impressive show by bagging several prominent stars in their squad. All-rounder Shardul Thakur was the most expensive buy for DC, as the Rishabh Pant-led DC spent a massive INR 10.75 crore to acquire the services of former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star.
