The CVC Capitals-owned IPL franchise is going to be named Gujarat Titans (GT).
The Ahmedabad management unveiled the name on their social media accounts. The announcement got delayed because the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL Governing Council were in the process of reviewing CVC Capitals ownership – thinking of them being in partnership with a European betting company. However, the privilege has now been cleared and GT is all set to be one of the newest IPL teams.
