Australia appoint Daniel Vettori as spin consultant for limited-overs series against Pakistan

Former New Zealand cricketer Daniel Vettori has been appointed as Australia’s spin consultant for the upcoming limited-overs series against Pakistan.

Cricket Australia on Monday confirmed Vettori’s inclusion in the coaching set-up and he will be joining the squad in Melbourne this week before they depart for the white-ball leg in Pakistan.

Aaron Finch & Co. will be playing three ODIs and a solitary T20I against Babar Azam’s brigade from March 29 to April 5.

Vettori’s most recent international coaching assignment was as a spin bowling coach for Bangladesh cricket team between 2019 and 2021.

Australia’s ODI and T20I squad:

  • First ODI: March 29, Rawalpindi
  • Second ODI: March 31, Rawalpindi
