On Day 2 of the ongoing first Test against Sri Lanka at PCA Stadium in Mohali, India’s batters yet again put in a strong performance to keep the domination over the tourists. Star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja led the way, smashing his second Test century.

Jadeja accomplished the landmark when he pushed a ball bowled by Lasith Embuldeniya to covers in the 111th over. Jadeja, who was termed rockstar by legendary Shane Warne, brought out his classic sword celebration upon reaching the triple-figure mark.

Overnight on 45, Jadeja found the going comfortable on the second morning. Sri Lanka missed the presence of Lahiru Kumara, who had left the field midway on the first evening. The visitors struggled to contain a free-flowing partnership and couldn’t stop Jaddu from keeping the run-rate high.

Jadeja was unbeaten on 102 as India reached 468/7 at lunch on the second day. The left-handed batter formed a crucial partnership of 130 runs with another all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin, who made 61 before getting dismissed by Suranga Lakmal.
