In the fourth match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Gujarat Titans (GT) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday, March 28.

Both sides will be debuting in the fifteenth season of the cash-rich league. While Hardik Pandya would lead Gujarat, KL Rahul will be the captain of Lucknow.

For Gujarat, West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph won’t be available for their first match as he was a part of the recently-concluded Test series against England. Similarly, Lucknow will miss the likes of Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, Kyle Mayers and Andrew Tye in the initial phase.

Pitch report:

The pitch at Wankhede is expected to offer decent support to both seamers and batters. Traditionally, it has been a chasing ground as dew does make its impact which gives an advantage to teams batting second.

Probable XIs:

Gujarat Titans: Shubman Gill, Matthew Wade (wk), Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Abhinav Manohar, Hardik Pandya (c), Rahul Tewatia, Varun Aaron, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Lockie Ferguson

Lucknow Super Giants: KL Rahul (c), Manan Vohra, Evin Lewis, Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Krunal Pandya, Krishnappa Gowtham, Dushmanta Chameera, Ankit Rajpoot, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi

Match Prediction:

Case 1:

  • GT wins the toss and bowls first
  • Powerplay score: 40-50

Case 2:
