Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah etched his name in record books when he claimed a five-wicket haul during Day 2 of ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka.

Bumrah, who had ended Day 1 with three wickets to his credit, removed Lasith Embuldeniya in the third over of the second day before dismissing Niroshan Dickwella (21) to get to his fifth wicket. It took Bumrah merely 10 overs to reach the feat, and it was his maiden five-wicket haul on Indian soil.

Further, it was Bumrah’s eighth 5-wicket haul in 29 Tests – the joint-most for an Indian seamer after as many matches alongside legendary Kapil Dev.
