Former Team India captain Virat Kohli was joined by his wife Anushka Sharma in Mohali for his 100th Test match.

Virat was felicitated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) ahead of his 100th Test. He is now 12th Indian to feature in 100 Test matches. Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar holds the all-time record of playing 200 Tests.

Team India head coach Rahul Dravid delivered a speech and presented Virat with a ceremonial cap to mark his 100th Test.

Virat and Anushka exchanged a kiss before the beginning of the match. Photos and videos of the same have surfaced online.

Virat, in an interview with BCCI spoke about his wife, said that she was his pillar of strength. The top-order batter said: “Anushka (Sharma) has been a huge, huge influence in my life. Not just you know, eventually the influence in your life that filters down to your game as well because your game is part of life. I have become a completely changed man for all the right reasons. I have evolved in the right way. I am very, very grateful and thankful to God to have a life partner like her and she’s been an absolute pillar of strength for me.”

Virat and Anushka got married in 2017 after having dated for several years. They welcomed daughter Vamika to the family last year.
