The Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI) in India on Saturday announced the venues and dates for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 final and playoff matches.

The first Qualifier and the Eliminator will take place at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 24 and 26, respectively. Meanwhile, the second Qualifier will be played on May 27 and the final on May 29, both at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. All matches will mark the full spectator attendance.

“As far as the men’s IPL knock-out stage matches are concerned, it would be held in Kolkata and Ahmedabad, with hundred percent attendance allowed for the matches to be played after the league staged finishes on May 22,” BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said after the apex council meeting on Saturday.

During the meeting, it was also decided that the three-team Women’s T20 Challenge, involving Trailblazers, Supernovas and Velocity, will be held in Lucknow from May 24-28.

Talking about IPL, the fifth season of the tournament has so far witnessed 35 matches, with newly-added Gujarat Titans (GT) leading the standings with 12 points from seven games while five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) are yet to open their account in the points table. After facing a 3-wicket defeat against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday, they created an embarrassing record of losing the first seven matches in an IPL season.
