Cricketing world wishes ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar on his 49th birthday

Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar celebrated his 49th birthday on Sunday and on this special occasion, his current and former cricketers took to Twitter to extend their warm wishes to the ‘God of Cricket’.

During his 24-year career, Tendulkar scored 34357 runs in international cricket, which is more than any other player in the history of the game. He holds the record for most runs in ODIs and Test cricket. In ODIs, the Mumbaikar amassed 18426 runs, while 15921 in Tests. Also, he has 100 centuries in international cricket, which is a world record till today.

Not only this, Tendulkar was the first batsman to score a double hundred in limited-overs cricket. He achieved the feat against South Africa in 2010.

Talking about franchise cricket, the Master Blaster played 78 matches for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he scored 2334 runs with the help of one hundred and 13 half-centuries.
