Leg-spinner Amit Mishra is no doubt a legendary figure in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He performed for every team he played for in the cash-rich league. Notably, Mishra is the only bowler with three IPL hat-tricks.

Despite being one of the league’s highest wicket-takers, Mishra went unsold in the mega auction of the ongoing fifteenth season of the lucrative league. However, the leggie has been attracting a lot of attention with his presence on social media in the past few months.

On Friday (April 8), Mishra once again captured the limelight as he came up with a hilarious reaction to a fan’s query to join Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Mishra, 39, was at his wittiest best as he jokingly replied that he is still two years younger to join the four-time champions.

“Sorry mate, Still two years younger for it,” Mishra wrote on the micro-blogging platform.

The Super Kings are often labelled as Dad’s Army, but the ‘Men in Yellow’ have defied odds to win 4 titles, including 2, since their return from suspension in 2018. CSK’s average age has been over 30, and they returned in grand style even after a horror run in IPL 2020 where MS Dhoni & Co. failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Interestingly, the response from the fan was to another funny tweet from Mishra, who lavished praises on Gujarat Titans (GT)‘ coach Ashish Nehra.

“Gujarat Titans are yet to be defeated this season. If they continue the same form, we might see other coaches also giving up laptops and picking up pen and paper like Nehra Ji,” said Mishra in his tweet.
