Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have signed Rajat Patidar for the remainder of the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL). The right-handed batter, who had previously represented the RCB franchise four times, has been roped in for INR 20 lakh.

Patidar will replace the injured Luvnith Sisodia in the RCB camp. Sisodia suffered an injury during the practice session and will continue to be in the RCB bubble till he completes his rehabilitation.

On the other hand, Patidar – who represents Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket – has so far played 31 T20s. In these games, he has scored 861 runs with the help of 7 half-centuries.

In the ongoing Ranji Trophy, in all the three games that Patidar has played for Madhya Pradesh, he has scored four 50-plus scores in all the four innings that he has batted in, starring a century too.

Meanwhile, the Faf Du Plessis-led RCB, who have played two matches this season – winning and losing a game each, will next take on Sanju Samson’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 5 at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
