In the 12th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai on Monday.

SRH are currently at the bottom of the points table after losing their opening game against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on March 29. On the other hand, Lucknow also lost their first match in the tournament but bounced back in the second game, defeating the mighty Chennai Super Kings (CSK) after successfully chasing down 211 on March 31.

Pitch report:

The track at DY Patil Academy will help seamers in the initial phase, but the spinners will also have their impact. There have been few high-scoring contests here, so if batters invest time and play sensibly, the pitch will offer lots of runs. Dew is likely to impact the game, therefore, bowling first is an ideal choice here.

Probable XIs:

Sunrisers Hyderabad: Kane Williamson (c), Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Washington Sundar, Romario Shepherd, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Umran Malik

Lucknow Super Giants: KL Rahul (c), Quinton de Kock (wk), Manish Pandey, Evin Lewis, Deepak Hooda, Aayush Badoni, Krunal Pandya, Jason Holder, Ravi Bishnoi, Dushmantha Chameera, Avesh Khan

Match Prediction:

Case 1:

  • SRH wins the toss and bowls first
  • Powerplay score: 45-55
  • LSG total: 155-170

Case 2:

  • LSG wins the toss and bowls first
  • Powerplay score: 40-50
  • SRH total: 145-155

Team batting second to win the contest.
