Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the eleventh match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
Chasing 181 for victory, CSK were bundled out for just 126 in 18 overs. Shivam Dube once again fired with the bat, scoring 57 runs off 30 balls, but he failed to take his side over the finish line.
Leg-spinner Rahul Chahar was the pick of the bowlers for PBKS as he took three wickets. Fast bowler Vaibhav Arora and all-rounder Liam Livingstone picked two wickets each, while other pacers – Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh and Odean Smith claimed a scalp each.
Earlier, after being asked to bat first, Punjab posted 180/8 in their stipulated overs with Livingstone hitting 60 off just 32 balls. For CSK, Chris Jordan and Dwaine Pretorius took two wickets each, while Mukesh Choudhary, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja scalped one dismissal apiece.
