In the 28th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by seven wickets to register their fourth back-to-back win in the fifteenth season.

Bowling first, SRH pacers completely dominated the proceedings, not allowing PBKS batters to settle down. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was at his best with a disciplined bowling display. He picked up three wickets while conceding only 22 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

Bhuvi was well supported by young speedster Umran Malik, who once again exhibited his fiery pace in the match. The right-armer picked up a brilliant 4-wicket haul, out of which three scalps came in the last over, which was also the maiden over as Punjab got bundled out for 151.

For PBKS, Liam Livingstone was the only batter who could able to stand in front of high-quality SRH bowling. The English all-rounder smashed 60 from just 33 deliveries with the help of nine boundaries, including four massive sixes.

Chasing 152, the Sunrisers finished the proceedings in the penultimate over with seven wickets in hand. Aiden Markram (41 not out) and Nicholas Pooran (35 not out) stayed undefeated to help SRH chase down the target easily.

Abhishek Sharma, with 31 off 25 balls, and Rahul Tripathi, with 34 off 22 balls, also chipped in with valuable contributions.
