Gujarat Titans (GT) – the newly added Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise – has been super impressive with their consistent show in the ongoing IPL 2022. The Hardik Pandya-led side are currently leading the points table with eight victories out of nine matches.
With 16 points in the standings, Gujarat are quite ahead of the rest of the competitors. In fact, they are almost through to the play-offs and will now be looking to seal a place in the top two.
But what is the reason behind GT’s splendid run in the 10-team competition? Well, skipper Hardik has himself revealed the ‘success mantra’ that has driven Gujarat to become the table-toppers.
After defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by six wickets, Hardik said that there is no hierarchy in the team, which has been the biggest reason for GT’s success.
“As a person, I always make sure that I don’t like to grow just as an individual. I like to grow with my teammates or people around me. That’s the reason of our success as well. Obviously, I might be the captain, but there is no hierarchy,” Pandya said at the post-match presser.
Hardik further mentioned that everyone in the team has their own role and are working on the same path. His troops feel themselves as important as their skipper, and that’s why everyone has gelled well together till now.
“Everyone is on the same path — one for all and all for one. That’s the approach which we’re carrying, and that is the reason I think the boys feel they are as important as the captain. So yeah, obviously enjoying the new opportunity, fantastic bunch of people around. With results going our way, I can’t ask for a better start,” added Hardik.
