In Match 53 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) crushed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a one-sided contest at Pune’s Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Saturday.

Put to bat first, Lucknow batters had decent partnerships to reach a competitive total of 176/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Opener Quinton de Kock shined with the bat, smashing a crucial half-century.

The left-handed batter scored 50 off 29 balls with the help of seven boundaries, including three sixes. Apart from De Kock, Deepak Hooda (41), Krunal Pandya (25), and Marcus Stoinis (25) chipped in with valuable contributions to push LSG beyond the mark of 170.

In response, the Knight Riders had a terrible day at the office as the Shreyas Iyer-led side got bundled out for a mere 101 to lose the game by a massive margin of 75 runs. Only Andre Russell, with 45 off 19, could able to stand tall against a top-quality bowling attack of Lucknow.

The likes of Avesh Khan and Jason Holder dominated the proceedings with sensational bowling display. Avesh picked up a three-wicket haul for 19 runs in his three overs, including a maiden. Similarly, Holder also bagged three scalps while conceding 31 runs in 2.3 overs.
