In the 68th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Friday. With the victory, the Royals reached second place in the points table.

Chasing a paltry target of 151, the contest went down to the wire, where RR eventually managed to seal the win with two balls to spare and five wickets in hand.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravichandran Ashwin were the chief architects behind the successful chase. While Yashasvi scored a brilliant 59 off 44 deliveries, Ashwin remained unbeaten at 40 to take the Royals home.

Earlier, Moeen Ali guided Chennai to a respectable total as the rest of the batters failed to make a mark. The left-handed batter smacked a brilliant knock of 93 runs from 57 deliveries with the help of 16 boundaries, including three sixes.

For the Royals, Obed McCoy and Yuzvendra Chahal were the pick of the bowlers. McCoy bagged a two-wicket haul for 20 runs in his quota of 4 overs. Similarly, Chahal also took two scalps while conceding 26 runs in 4 overs.
