Newly-appointed England Test skipper Ben Stokes was floored by an Australian in the ongoing County Championship Division Two 2022. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the Durham all-rounder can be seen reeling on the ground after copping a nasty delivery from Marnus Labuschagne, who was bowling medium pace on Thursday. Notably, the Aussie is representing Glamorgan in the English county this year.
Durham were 192/9 in the 59th over when Stokes went for a pull off a short delivery from Labuschagne through square leg. However, the left-handed batter failed to execute the shot and ended up edging the red cherry into the midriff.
The 30-year-old immediately collapsed onto the pitch and dropped his bat, moving his legs around to deal with the painful blow. Soon, Labuschagne offered an apology before Stokes delicately returned to his feet.

Stokes was eventually dismissed by another Australian, Michael Hogan, for 82 when the Christchurch-born nicked a delivery through to wicketkeeper Chris Cooke.
Not to mention, the England Test captain has been in remarkable form since his appointment. Last week, Stokes scripted history after he smashed a belligerent 88-ball 161 against Worcestershire.
In the game, Durham were bundled out for 311, with Glamorgan losing two scalps before stumps was called in at Chester-le-Street. Labuschagne is unbeaten on 16 , with Glamorgan captain David Lloyd not out at the other end on 8 runs.
Meanwhile, Labuschagne has been contributing outstandingly with the ball for Glamorgan this season, with his medium pace as well as the leg spin. So far, the Queenslander has taken seven wickets at 36.00 and a strike rate of 56.4.
