Senior Indian cricketer Ajinkya Rahane is celebrating his 34th Birthday today (June 06). The cricket fraternity, including former and current players, extended their best wishes to Rahane.

Notably, Rahane – known as a complete team man – who led India to a famous Test series win over Australia last year, was not named in the recently-announced Test squad for the one remaining match against England from 1st to 5th July at Edgbaston.

India great Virender Sehwag termed Rahane as ‘one of the most underrated cricketers’ while wishing the veteran on his Birthday.

“One of the most underrated cricketers and the man who led India to its greatest ever overseas Test series win. Happy Birthday, @ajinkyarahane88 . May God give you the strength to fight every challenge,” tweeted Sehwag.

Rahane’s teammate and another Test specialist, Cheteshwar Pujara, took to his official Twitter handle and wrote: “A very happy birthday, brother @ajinkyarahane88 Wishing you happiness and success in the coming year. Enjoy your day!”

Former India cricketer Suresh Raina wished a good year to Rahane. He tweeted: “Happiest Birthday to you @ajinkyarahane88 . Wishing you the best on your birthday and everything good in the year ahead. Have a good one brother. Loads of love!”
