Bangladesh were off to a great start after registering the crucial win in the opening ODI of the ongoing three-match series at Providence Stadium in Guyana on Sunday. In the contest, which was reduced to 41 overs per side due to wet outfield, the visitors recorded a vital 6-wicket triumph.

Chasing 150, former skipper Mahmudullah shined with the bat, scoring an unbeaten 41 off 69 deliveries with the help of three boundaries, including a six to take Bangladesh home. Captain Tamim Iqbal (33) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (37) also made valuable contributions to Bangladesh’s successful chase.
