Team India steamrolled Pakistan by eight wickets to bounce back to winning ways in the ongoing Commonwealth Games Women’s Cricket Competition 2022 at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Sunday.
After batting first, Pakistan were completely dominated by Indian bowlers as the Women in Green were bundled out for a mere 99 in 18 overs. Sneh Rana (2/15) and Radha Yadav (2/18) sizzled with the ball, taking a couple of wickets each. Wicketkeeper-batter Muneeba Ali (32) was the only batter who was able to cross the 30-run mark.
In response, India gunned down the target in just 11.4 overs, with star batter Smriti Mandhana smashing an incredible half-century. Mandhana played an unbeaten knock of 63 runs off 42 deliveries, including eight fours and three sixes.
