After the ongoing Asia Cup 2022, the focus will shift toward the T20 World Cup 2022, which is set to take place in Australia from October 16 to November 13.
As the multi-team event is approaching, experts have started coming up with their analyses and predictions regarding what could be the combination of different teams for the multi-team event.
Recently, former India head coach Ravi Shastri had named Team India’s pace bowling attack for the 20-over tournament. Following the bandwagon, former India wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta, while speaking in a chat show on Crictracker, has picked his best India XI for T20 World Cup.
Notably, India had a scatter-brained campaign in the previous edition of the global competition as they failed to make it to the group stage and were ousted early from the tournament. Now under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue will aim to change the fortunes.
Regarding his picks, Dasgupta went with star batters KL Rahul, Rohit and Virat Kohli in the top order of his World Cup playing XI. He further named Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja to complete the middle and lower-middle order.
On the bowling front, the 45-year-old went with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh to form a well-settled pace attack. With Jadeja already in his XI, Dasgupta also picked Yuzvendra Chahal as the specialist spinner.
