Team India defeated Hong Kong quite comfortably to register their second win in the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Chasing a humungous 193, Hong Kong never really got the momentum as they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The Nizakat Khan-led side eventually reached 152/5 to lose the contest by 40 runs. Babar Hayat top-scored with 41 from 35 balls, including three fours and a couple of sixes.

Earlier, Virat Kohli’s much-anticipated half-century and Suryakumar Yadav’s explosive knock guided India to a formidable total in their assigned 20 overs.

Kohli smashed an unbeaten 59 off 44 balls, including one four and three sixes. Suryakumar, on the other hand, remained undefeated on 68 from just 26 deliveries with the help of six fours and as many maximums.

Kohli and Suryakumar added an unbeaten 98-run stand for the third wicket to help India post 192/2 on the board. For Hong Kong, Mohammad Ghazanfar (1/19) and Ayush Shukla (1/29) bagged one wicket each.
