Following Pakistan’s 23-run loss against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup Final on Sunday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja lost his cool and misbehaved with an Indian journalist.

The incident happened when the journalist – Rohit Juglan – asked Ramiz about his message to Pakistan fans who were unhappy with the national team’s defeat. The PCB chief didn’t enjoy the question as he expressed his frustration.

“People are unhappy about the outcome of the match. What is your message for them?” the journalist asked. To which, visibly frustrated, Ramiz said, “You must be from India, and your people must be extremely happy.”

Further, Ramiz started walking away and also tried to snatch the mobile phone of the journalist in anger.

“Which people are you talking about? Take off your hand. And move away from the camera frame”, Ramiz was heard stating.

The concerned journalist then took to Twitter and posted the video of the whole incident with a caption: “Was my question wrong in any way? Aren’t the people of Pakistan sad over the outcome of the Asia Cup Final? This behaviour was wrong, given that you are the Chairman of a Cricket Board. You should not have tried to snatch my phone.”

While Ramiz was seen in frustration, Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan accepted that Sri Lanka indeed played better and deserved to be the champions. After the game, Rizwan said: “I think if any team thinks about the toss, then they are not a champion team. Sri Lanka were that today, they didn’t think of toss. And then they hurt us for our mistakes. They deserved to be champions.”
