Star opening pair Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, on Thursday, hammered England bowlers as Pakistan thrashed the tourists in the second T20I by 10 wickets at the National Stadium, Karachi.

Babar and Rizwan stitched an unbeaten 203-run stand and propelled Pakistan to chase down 200 with three balls to spare. The duo set the highest partnership ever in a run-chase in T20Is. They surpassed their own record of 197 that they put up against South Africa back in 2021.

In the process, Pakistan captain smashed his second hundred in the shortest format, scoring an unbeaten 110 from 66 deliveries with the help of 11 fours and five sixes. Similarly, Rizwan scored an unbeaten 88 off 51 balls, including five fours and four maximums.

Earlier, England posted 199/5 in their allotted 20 overs, with stand-in captain Moeen Ali smashing an undefeated 55 from 23 deliveries, including 4 fours and as many sixes. Ben Duckett also chipped in with a valuable 43 off 22 balls.
