Courtesy of top-class swing bowling, team India pacers Arshdeep Singh and Deepak Chahar wreaked havoc against South Africa in the ongoing first T20I of the three-match series at Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday.
Both Arshdeep and Chahar completely dominated the proceedings in the powerplay, destroying South Africa’s top order and picking as many as five wickets to reduce the visitors to 9/5 in just 2.3 overs.
Arshdeep was the pick among the two as he bagged three wickets in his opening over, removing the likes of Quinton de Kock (1), Rilee Rossouw (0) and David Miller (0). Similarly, Chahar took a couple of wickets in the form of captain Temba Bavuma (0) and Tristan Stubbs (0).
