Australian pacer Mitchell Starc has continued his sensational form in the ongoing One-Day International (ODI) series against England. Starc, who dismissed English opener Jason Roy in the opening game with a beauty, has once again bowled a peach of a delivery to get rid of Dawid Malan in the second ODI at Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday.

Malan, the centurion from the Adelaide ODI, was gone for a duck as he had no answers to Starc’s remarkable bowling. It all happened in the first over when the left-arm fast bowler was delivering thunderbolts.

Starc first dismissed Roy (yet again) on the second ball and removed Malan on the fifth delivery. He bowled at a good length, and the angle drew Malan into the clip. The ball pitched and then deviated, only to go past Malan’s defence and crash into the off-stump.

Earlier, Australia managed to put 280/8 on the board in their allotted 50 overs on the back of phenomenal batting display from former skipper Steven Smith. The right-handed batter continued from where he left in the series opener and went on to score a brilliant 94 from 114 deliveries, with the help of five fours and a six.

Apart from Smith, Marnus Labuschagne (58) and Mitchell Marsh (50) chipped in with valuable half-centuries to propel Australia to a competitive total. For the tourists, Adil Rashid was the pick of the bowlers, taking a three-wicket haul for 57 runs in his quota of 10 overs. Besides the leg-spinner, Chris Woakes (2/42) and David Willey (2/44) also bagged two wickets each.
