Team India’s frontline pacer Jasprit Bumrah is preparing hard for his comeback in the national team after missing from the action due to a back injury. Burmah is currently undergoing a speedy recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

In a video shared on his Twitter account on Friday, the right-arm pacer is looking fit and ready to go. Bumrah was spotted running, jogging and stretching his legs. He captioned the post: “Never easy, but always worth it.”

In the recent past, India have really missed the absence of their frontline pacer Bumrah. The yorker specialist was not available for major events such as the Asia Cup 2022 and the T20 World Cup 2022 due to his back injury.

Bumrah last represented India during the T20I series against Australia, where he got injured in the second game and couldn’t play the series decider. He was subsequently ruled out of the South Africa T20Is at home and the T20 World Cup in Australia.

Recently, the BCCI announced ODI and Test squad for the upcoming Bangladesh tour, but Bumrah has been given the time for recovery. Former chief selector Chetan Sharma had said they didn’t want to hurry up and would wait for the Ahmedabad-lad to get fully fit before allowing him to return to the squad.

“We have to manage the workload. We hurried up with Jasprit Bumrah a bit. We tried as the World Cup was coming and see what happened. The NCA and medical team are looking after him very well, and he definitely will be a part of the team very soon. For the Bangladesh series, we are just a little cautious. We are not hurrying him up. Bumrah will be back soon. NCA is working with him,” Sharma had said.
