Reigning champions Gujarat Titans (GT) have traded their fast bowler Lockie Ferguson and wicket-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the forthcoming season of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The Black Caps speedster Ferguson played 13 matches for GT and picked 12 wickets, including a 4-wicket haul against Rishabh Pant’s Delhi Capitals (DC). He was acquired by Gujarat in the 2022 IPL Players’ Auction for a whopping price of INR 10 crore after the bidding war with DC, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

Meanwhile, Afghanistan’s star player Gurbaz was included in the GT squad ahead of IPL 2022 as a replacement for England batter Jason Roy but did not feature in any game last season.
