Pakistan and England are all set to face each other in the three-match Test series, starting December 01 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Earlier this month, both sides locked horns in the final of the T20 World Cup, where the English team defeated the Men in Green by five wickets at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Notably, this will be England’s first Test tour of Pakistan in 17 years. Ahead of the three-match series opener, Pakistan’s young fast bowler Naseem Shah addressed the press conference, where he left everyone in splits.

It all happened when a reporter asked Naseem about the longevity of England’s legendary pacer James Anderson. The Pakistan speedster lavished praise on Anderson for his unreal fitness as the Lancashire bowler remains England’s frontline fast bowler even at age 40.

“I think it’s a very big achievement because I’m a fast bowler, and I know how hard fast bowling is. He is a legend, we learn a lot of things from him and whenever we meet we discuss something. So, that’s a big thing for him. He is still playing at 40. He is still playing and fit, so you can imagine how hard he is working,” said Naseem.

However, when the reporter quizzed Naseem to explain more about Anderson’s skills, the Peshawar-born made it clear that his English is not perfect.

“Brother, I have just 30 per cent English. My English is finished now, okay,” he added.

Naseem said that having a tremendous experience has helped Anderson understand the game better, as he knows how and when to take wickets.

“I told you, he’s the legend. He knows everything. He knows how to take wickets because he has played cricket everywhere in the world. That’s why he’s one of the best bowlers in the world,” added Naseem.
