Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and former Pakistan cricket team captain Shoaib Malik might officially announce their divorce after the legal things are sorted out, reported Pakistan-based Geo News on Saturday.

“The couple is not addressing the rumours due to contracts signed with different shows and legal complications,” Geo News said, citing sources, adding that Sania and Shoaib have “several contracts to complete.”

Sania and Shoaib got married on April 15, 2010, in a traditional Hyderabadi Muslim wedding ceremony at the Taj Krishna Hotel, Hyderabad (India). This was followed by Pakistani wedding customs for a mahr, and their Walima ceremony was held in Sialkot (Pakistan).

After their marriage, Sania and Shoaib shifted to Dubai because they believed this was one place where they could live peacefully.

According to Pakistan and Dubai media reports, Sania initiated the divorce after knowing about Shoaib’s alleged affair with model-turned-actress Ayesha Omar. Last year, Shoaib and Ayesha were clicked together during a bold photoshoot, and Sania seems to be unhappy with it.

Some reports also claim that Shoaib is allegedly having an extramarital affair with Ayesha. At the same time, Sania has been posting cryptic posts on her Instagram story that read, “Where do broken hearts go? To find Allah”.

Many people are still blaming Ayesha for Sania’s divorce, which is funny because she has already cleared the air by revealing about her friendship with Shoaib.
